We would like to share with you our experience with malaria and the different options for prophylaxis (malaria prevention).
There exist different options for malaria prophylaxis. Some from Educat use Malerone which is the most expensive and carries with it very few possible side effects. Many use Vibradox which is a great deal cheaper but also has quite more possible side effects. Some of the Educat staff fell ill from using Vibradox, while others have continued taken it without experiencing problems. Finally some have enjoyed their stay without using any form of malaria prophylaxis. Everyone in the staff sleeps under a mosquito-net, and no one from the Educat staff has yet fallen sick from malaria.
The decision is of course completely up to you, and if you have any doubts we recommend that you contact a physician with an area of expertise within tropical diseases.
You can maybe buy malaria pills that people have in surplus, because the pills are expensive.
